AS#1 Bookfair at Barnes & Noble

Friday, April 30th, 2010

On Saturday, May 8th, AS#1, is celebrating literacy at the Northgate Barnes & Noble by hosting a Bookfair between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM. AS#1 families and friends are invited to the Northgate Barnes & Noble to hear student guest readers, mingle with teachers, and shop for books.

Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of the sales during that time to our school library program, just download and bring this voucher when you go. If you forget, just tell a cashier you are from AS#1, and they will ensure our school gets credit for your purchases.

If you can’t get to the store, please shop online in support of our School Bookfair at www.bn.com/bookfairs using the bookfair ID 10206258 on the attached vouchers. Ensure you enter the ID on the payment page so we get credit. Shopping is good for the 2 days listed on the voucher and items must be shipped within 5 days after May 8th.

We encourage students to attend this event with their parents/guardians or friends! Franchesca, our school secretary extraordinaire, will be there reading a children’s story at 2:00 PM and then we will have other AS#1 students reading stories from 2:30 till 4:30 in the KIDS section of the store.

We will also have gift wrapping going on in the lobby to support our Snow Sports Program. Interested students and parents are
encouraged to sign-up for one hour shifts from 11:00 to 5:00 to wrap store purchases and hopefully receive donations from customers as they exit the store.

If you have any questions, please contact Susan Jenkins at sjenkins@seattleschools.org We look forward to seeing you on the 8th!
